Introducing the Unified Product Catalog (UPC)

We’re excited to share a major new milestone: the Unified ProductCatalog (UPC) is now available in an alpha pilot for select early adopters!

What is the VividWorks Unified Product Catalog (UPC)? 

The Unified Product Catalog is a new platform that combines the 3D Product Configurator and 3D Room Planner into one system. This means you can manage your products and create designs all in one place, making your workflows simpler and more efficient.

The UPC is a web-application for managing product configuration logic and 3D assets needed by 3D Product Configurator and 3D Room Planner. No more duplication of assets between the platforms!

The same product assets and configuration logic seamlessly works on your eCommerce site for product configuration and in your Room Planner with multiple products in the space at the same time.

This marks the beginning of a truly seamless experience for your customers and teams working across planning, configuration, and commerce.

What the Alpha includes‍

‍The alpha includes all the functional capabilities of our 3D Product Configurator and adds key capabilities for 3D Room Planner.

The Room Planner 3D part in the UPC supports all main 3D content types for room planning, including:

• Mouldings
• Decoratives
• Wall-mounted elements
• Wall structural elements

 In addition, all features of the 3D Room Planner, including login, saving, loading and pricing using 3D Room Planner’s internal pricing database work!

Once your product logic is defined in UPC, it can be used with either of the frontends to support the different workflows and use cases you need.

What to expect in near future?

The Unified Product Catalog is the future of product logic definition and 3D asset management and allows easy and more user-friendly self-service than before possible. We are exited to pilot it with few initial customers and work towards releasing it for General Availability as soon as possible.
